Automated Email Program


Overview:

During my time at EF Johnson Technologies, I worked as a Marketing Campaign Coordinator. Part of my position included sending automated emails to a list provided by our local radio dealers. Originally, we needed to make a new campaign for every list we received, and sometimes needed a new email for each public safety segment. With this project, we could automate some of this work and free up time to focus on other parts of our job.

The Problem:

Creating a new campaign from scratch each time our dealer wanted to touch base ended up being a lot of copying and pasting. For each segment, we needed a new graphic that would connect with the recipient, and ensure that they received the right white paper later in the sales funnel.

The Solution:

Using Hubspot’s tools, there was an easier way! We could automate the workflow, personalize the emails using templates and individual information, and add a responsive workflow that could push them through the sales funnel quickly if they interacted with our content.

The Project:

To put together a project of this size, we would have to work together to create the workflows, clean up our data, educate our dealers on the new campaigns, and create the new email templates to react the way that we needed.

My contribution:

I presented the project to our Marketing Director, laid out the initial design and creation of the workflow, created the email templates, and coordinated with others to test out the workflow.

In this example, their name, location, radio system, graphic, and contract certification are all personalized. In the second photo, the whitepaper would change based on their job title or public safety segment.

The results:

We implemented the project, and saved about 25% of our time. We where then able to use that time saved to clean up our data base and work more closely with our dealers and sales managers.
